  • Resorcinol is suspected of causing endocrine-disrupting effects, according to European Commission Annex 13. Includes both Category 1 (evidence for endocrine disruption in living organisms) and Category 2 (evidence of potential to cause endocrine disruption in in vitro studies)
  • Resorcinol is suspected of causing cardiovasular or blood toxicity, according to various official national and internation hazard classification systems and/or by being recognized under EPA - IRIS Inhalation Reference Concentration (RfC) list and/or EPA - IRIS Oral Reference Dose (RfD) as having an appropriate critical effect.
  • Resorcinol is a suspected neurotoxin.
  • Resorcinol is suspected of causing neurotoxicity, according to various official national and internation hazard classification systems and/or by being recognized under EPA - IRIS Inhalation Reference Concentration (RfC) list and/or EPA - IRIS Oral Reference Dose (RfD) as having appropriate critical effects.
  • Resorcinol has been restricted in cosmetics use by the European Union.
  • Resorcinol has been restricted for use in cosmetics in Canada.
