Me, you, Earth too

GoodGuide user Krystle Rose has been blogging about her journey to become a healthier person and to make the world a better place. This week she wrote about some of the product switches she's made using GoodGuide.

Dishwasher Detergent

Krystle switched from Cascade Dishwasher Detergent (a 4.6) to Seventh Generation Dishwasher Gel (an 8.3) because the Seventh Generation product contains no phosphates and because the company scores well on reducing climate emissions.

Dishwashing Liquid

After switching from Dawn Dish Liquid to Green Works because it's made with plant-based cleaning ingredients and is not tested on animals, Krystle decided to try Seventh Generation Dishwashing Liquid (8.3).

Shampoo

Krystal found that Head and Shoulders Dandruff Shampoo (6.6) contains some "not-so-good ingredients". She switched to Avalon Organics Shampoo (7.0) which claims to provide "safe, effective, pro-organic body care without artificial colors, synthetic fragrances or parabens".

All Purpose Cleaner

Krystal was "scared after reading all the warnings" on the back of a bottle of Lysol, so she switched to Dr. Bronner's (8.7) which had the best overall rating of all the cleaning products she looked at.
