Grounds for Change is a family owned and operated coffee roasting business located in the Pacific Northwest. We roast our 100% Fair Trade, Organic coffee in small batches to ensure that you receive the freshest coffee possible.

A number of community-based programs in coffee-growing countries directly benefit from the purchase of our coffee. For example, farmers in Peru and Mexico receive a higher price per pound for their coffee (above and beyond the going rate for certified coffee) to help support local domestic violence intervention programs and small business loans for women.

    Seattle Audubon Society will receive a donation from every bag to help fund their programs, including the Northwest Shade Coffee Campaign. Seattle Audubon Society requests names and mailing addresses for persons that order the Seattle Audubon Blend. Grounds for Change will provide Seattle Audubon Society with this information on a quarterly basis along with our donation. We only provide this information for those persons who order the Seattle Audubon Blend and not for any of our other customers. This coffee is Fair Trade Certified by TransFairUSA, Certified Organic by the Washington State Department of Agriculture, and Shade Grown Certified by SMBC. All of our coffee is roasted to order and shipped fresh daily. We package in air-tight, foil-lined bags with one-way degassing valves to preserve freshness.
