    "New & Disapproving"

I agree with ALL of the above. This new scent is NOTHING like the old formula! It contains a much stronger scent that is far from what the older formula was. The old lotion had such a calming and comforting scent. It was like liquid baby powder and I abosolutely loved it. Since this new formula came out, I have been desparately searching EVERYWHERE to find anything that may resemble the scent of the old Calming J&Js. J&J, if you are reading these, PLEASE bring back the old product we loved so much. We will buy it by the tons!

THE NEW AND IMPROVE DOES NOT SMELL GOOD

I am very disappointed in the new Johnson and Johnson lotion. I to have brought from different websites thinking that it was the original epecially since they had the original bottle. To my suprise of course it is the same lotion they carry in the store. I have wrote Johnson and Johnson inquiring about the product which a representative told me they stop making it two years ago. I was shocked because it was still on the shelves. I wish they would have told the consumers they were changing it so I could have stocked up. Another representative stated that the smell was too strong on infants and that's why they started to lower the scent. Sorry to some mom's but it is the scent that drew me in. I have been searching everywhere trying to find anything close to the orginal even the one that says "compared to johnson and johnson". I wish they would return this product. There are alot of people looking for it. If anyone have any luck please inform the rest of us. The company said that they have already distributed the last of what they carry so no telling who has the orginal. [...]

Formula Has Changed, Bring Back The Old Scent

I agree with all the other reviewers. I have used the Johnson's Bedtime Lotion since my first son was an infant then I bought a bottle and noticed the familiar, wonderful scent was gone. Everyone has always commented on how wonderful my boys smelled with the original scent.

After we got the new bottle, my husband came home one day and wanted to know why the boys smelled so bad. He kept commenting for weeks, whatever you're using on them stinks.

The new lotion isn't as creamy either, it's runnier.

We've switched to Huggies in shampoo and lotion.

    New Formula is TERRIBLE!

The "new & improved" lotion smells terrible and is STICKY on the baby when it dries. It feels wierd on your hands. I hope J&J change back to the old formula that was WONDERFUL!!!

I registered for this lotion and got tons of it, only to open it and find the "New Formula" which I hate!

Icky new scent is NOT an "improvement"

Add me to the long list of people who are disappointed in the new, "improved" version of this product. Where the old version had a noticeable, lasting, but soft scent; the new one is perfumey and cloying. The old one also smelled much closer to what fresh cut lavender smells like.

I happen to have a friend that works for Johnson's Consumer Products, and I have been bugging her to let the product people at the company know how the customers are reacting to this new formula. I told her specifically, "the old product smelled like a field of lavender in Provence, the new one smells like a hooker in Paris. Correction: a hooker NAMED Paris."

That said, the underlying lotion is a decent product. It's thick and moisturizing for a low price. I only recommend buying it however, if you have lost your sense of smell.
