Whole grain looks like a seed not an "O"
This product is as nourishing as puffed cardboard. It is so extremely processed that even the simple carbohydrates are refined. The marketing is truly deceitful and I am dismayed to see a positive rating from Good Guide. In the body the simple carbohydrates react like sugar. This product is actually harmful.

Deceptive 'Health' Marketing
I agree with the previous review that says this product uses deceptive marketing techniques. As Marion Nestle (author of Food Politics and What to Eat) tells us, saying that eating Cheerios lowers cholesterol promotes an 'eat more' mentality that not only urges consumers to buy more of this General Mills product but also to consume more calories--causing more profound health implications than just high cholesterol. I think your ratings should include some sort of data about these kind of practices.

Incorrect rating
Very disapointing to see this highly processed product get a high rating. The corn is GMO unless they have made changes in the past year, how is it possible for them to score a high envrio. rating?
The glycemic index is quite how which may contribute to diabetes and a host of other inflamatory diseases.
The company has been wrongly marketing this product as healthy and the last thing we need is for this site to confirm that.Posted by Nushin -
Vitamine A Palmitate = Disaster
I would never use a product that contains any ingredient from the palm family. Palm plantations are the root cause of global deforestation of rainforests in developing countries. They are also responsible for the extermination of the Orangutans and Sumatran Tigers. Not to mention the increased risk of heart disease from palm consumption. Even if Cheerios receives good ratings in other regards their primary product should bring their rating down. They definitely do not deserve to be in the top 10 rating.
Here is an excellent informational article regarding all the disasters of palm oil.
