Smell is too strong and sickeningly sweet

Like another reviewer, I found the smell of this product way too strong and sickeningly sweet. It's like cheap perfume. When I first opened it I thought it might not be that bad, but in actual use it's way too strong. I tried it as a shower gel (and I didn't use too much) and was stuck smelling like this awful smell all day. They also make a shampoo that has a similar awful smell. Their products used to have lighter fragrances... I wish they'd go back to that.

    Love this stuff! Smells great!

I love this stuff, it makes the whole bathroom and the kids hair smell great! My two daughters also seem to like this also. IT does have some soothing effects. If I took a bath with this I bet it'd help me fall asleep too! :)

    I love this stuff!

I have been using this wash since it came out - probably 2 or 3 years! My kids love it, it smells good (i don't think it is overly powerful unless you use way too much), and it makes a great, tear-free bubble bath.

I can understand why you wouldn't like it if it gave your child a rash, but that isn't the product's fault. Some people are just sensitive to its ingredients.

    Yuck

Unbelievably strong, sickeningly sweet smell! Truly the smell was overpowering and unpleasant. I love the smell of lavender and it seems only the pricey, natural products have a pleasant lavender scent.

    doesn't really smell like lavender

and it gave my baby a rash :( He is sensitive to perfumes, but the lavender California Baby didn't give him a rash and truly smells like lavender. I recommend that one over this one, although it's a lot more expensive. Dr. Bronner's is also great for babies and their lavender smells real too.
