User Interaction Engineer
We are looking for a Rock Star User Interaction Engineer to help us design, build and improve our user interfaces. Your mission would be to create the best possible user experience in accessing this data: tools for our internal scientists to tweak the algorithm, unique visualizations for consumers to understand our data, or enterprise integration for corporations to manage data partnerships.. We’re on the web, and have an iPhone app as well. The technology stack we’re using is Rails, Linux and MySQL.

Back-End Engineer
We are looking for a Back-end Engineer to help us build out the GoodGuide technology infrastructure. Your mission will be to design, build and maintain tools to enable internal as well as external teams to interact with our data. You’ll need to be able to map the complex world of product, company and rating data to our internal databases and schemas. You’ll help build scalable processes and systems for publishing GoodGuide data to external consumers, such as GoodGuide.com, manufacturers and retailers.

Chief Scientific Officer
We are looking for a Chief Scientist to help us refine and expand our methodologies for evaluating the environmental, social, and health performance of products. Our tools seek to integrate cutting edge science — supply chain analysis, environmental life-cycle assessment, health hazard assessment, and social impact assessment techniques — with innovative information visualization methods, to radically improve the information available to consumers on the impacts of products and companies. The Chief Scientist will help to build and coordinate a growing team of researchers, and represent GoodGuide in varied public forums. This is a full-time position based in San Francisco.

Nutritionist
We are looking for a Nutritionist to help conduct research, analysis and presentation of information on the nutritional quality food. Expertise in nutritional science, nutrition guidelines, nutritional epidemiology, nutrient profiling, food chemistry, dietetics, and other related fields will be central to this position.
